• White Vanguard Part 5

(Start with White Vanguard Part 1)

As we mentioned before, Youth Alliance had close connections to Tommy Robinson’s team through the group Patriots of Britain.

They had made links with the South East Division; a football core coming out of the Democratic Football Lads Alliance (DFLA) protests.

South East Divsion was created with the intent to disrupt and target left wing events and activists. The South East Division took Youth Alliance activists on their outings, and both groups would actively engage in violence.

Youth Alliance was also close to Turning Point UK, and their activists attended events at the London Cenotoph and in Portsmouth.

Through Turning Point UK, Youth Alliance were able to link up to far right groups like Rushmoor People First in Aldershot, and the various Patriot groups along the South Coast – many of which Turning Point had a helping hand in creating.

Youth Alliance expanded into the north when it combined its activists with those of the “North East Frontline”, a small far right youth group of football lads primarily based around Newcastle.

Before its radicalisation and decline, Youth Alliance had a large base of support and strong connections, and this could’ve seen the group grow quickly.

White Vanguard, despite the potential drawbacks of being associated with Youth Alliance and their various connections and controversies, did manage to make some connections in more hardcore ethnonationalist spaces that we can discuss.

As Hope Not Hate have written, the group was connected to the National Socialist Network. This was a Neo-nazi group operating out of Australia; a by-product of the Iron March forum.

Founding members of White Vanguard had been establishing communication with the group’s leadership – mainly Jacob Hersant – and were trying to learn from their tactics.

Alongside this, White Vanguard members had also tried to join Vanguard Britannica, and appeared to have former Vanguard Britannica members among their ranks.

Another group mentioned recently was the Creativity Movement, founded by Ben Klasson who was accused of molesting young boys. One of White Vanguard’s members was part of this “religion”, and would often push others to get involved.

One of the most significant relations White Vanguard developed was with the British Movement – White Vanguard did one of its first actions with them. They posed for photos together at a event in London that saw both groups come together. A couple of White Vanguard members also held joint membership.

However, within White Vanguard, the British Movement were criticised for not becoming paramilitary. With recruiting from the armed forces, and attempts to collect and stockpile weapons, White Vanguard definitely seems to have set out on a path towards violent terror.

So White Vanguard held a lot of contempt towards the British Movement. They were criticised for being an unorganized mess of drunk skinheads, which is not exactly untrue, but it is a bit rich coming from a group of teenagers who only a year ago were attending Zionist rallies.

We then have the off and on situation with the National Rebirth Party. While it was the Youth Alliance, relations were quite close. The group saw the party as one of the best chances of getting a nationalist party into Parliament, with their interests at heart.

Things soon soured, however, with accusations being made towards National Rebirth party leader Alek Yerbury for his ineffectiveness, while Yerbury in turn accused Kai Cunningham of being a “Walter Mitty”.

There were many members of National Rebirth Party (NRP) within the group, including 2 members of the London branch, as well as the son of an NRP branch organiser.

Despite this, White Vanguard began to focus in on two individuals within the NRP that were not affiliated with White Vanguard. One we previously mentioned became subject to what can only be described as sexual harassment and online stalking.

The other was a member of the London branch that White Vanguard took great pleasure in bullying and targeting over a period of months. No action appears to have been taken by the National Rebirth Party, or White Vanguard, to target or criticise the members that sit within both organisations so far.

After these connections, linking up with active terror groups wasn’t far behind. A friend of one of the White Vanguard activists joined the Radikalewaffen Division. Though not yet a proscribed group, the group takes from the tendency that The Base and the Atomwaffen Division spawned.

Soon, White Vanguard found itself in space alongside multiple accelerationist groups. Warnings were given, and even though White Vanguard seems to be following the same trajectory, they attempted, and still attempt, to try and avoid the same fate such groups will often encounter.

A couple of White Vanguard members are also part of the Scottish White Front. They are a small nazi accelerationist group primarily made up of young skinheads mainly based around Glasgow.

Not very much information exists about this group except of a small group “looking for reds”, and some nationalist graffiti. The Scottish White Front organizer inside White Vanguard gave us a small insight into the group, including its size and organizing platform.

One of the organizers of scottish White Front was later removed from White Vanguard for apparent “dodgy behaviour”.

Finally we get to the other Youth Alliance split, “Football Lads Protecting Britain”. Similar to the National Rebirth Party, White Vanguard members just couldn’t leave their petty hates alone and trolled the group long after the split.

With Archi Redding as a part of White Vanguard, he tricked the Football Lads members into thinking he was with them during the split. He then deliberately caused the group to descend into infighting, removing people he claimed were infiltrating the group.

All the while, he was sending screenshots of the chat to White Vanguard, which led to hours of ridicule. At one point a member called Lew was blamed for the leaks, and subsequently removed by Archi himself.

This was then screenrecorded and sent to White Vanguard. In what can only be described as a massive L on their part, through the trolling we ended up with the identities and phone numbers of 11 members without even stepping foot inside their chat.

So great work White Vanguard – your work has so far helped us research more groups than we could’ve ever hoped for! We were just hoping to get to you, but you gave us so much more.

Tomorrow our next thread will finally begin to detail some of the members, as well as those attempting to join that we were able to identify.

(Start with White Vanguard Part 1)

Previously we spoke about the violent tendencies White Vanguard and Youth Alliance share. This extended beyond targeting the left and minority communities, plans began to develop on how to prepare for conflict.

The group often focused on training, and this was expected from all members regularly. Shared group sessions were also proposed and this often was separated into South, North and Midlands regions.

Resources were shared in the chat on how to prepare for an underground insurgency. Expectations were that the group could face proscription or end up in street to street battles with “Islamists” roaming the streets.

To test their skills, White Vanguard attempted to target a Palestine solidarity encampment. They went to the Community Camp 4 Palestine, opposite the US Embassy, seig heiled then attempted to snatch Palestian flags.

The attack was a total failure. Rather than attempt to fight the camp residents, they skulked off and left empty-handed. White Vanguard decided not to publicise their humbling, and, presumably, hoped it would be forgotten.

Focus turned again towards training, most of the group by this point had collected crossbows and were getting comfortable using them.

The group decided that although it was worthwhile to train with knives, it was considered too dangerous to use them as the likelihood of getting harmed by the opposition was too high. Guns required licences and would draw too much attention.

Crossbows were spoken about to be the best option to attack while keeping a safe distance. Various models were suggested, though emphasis was on self-repeating crossbows for their ability to allow multiple shots.

Plans were originally to hold a group session on a farm in Bath. The idea was to have a group camp and do joint physical training sessions. As it was private land, group members were encouraged to bring their crossbows to try out there.

As we mentioned, in the Youth Alliance thread, the group claimed to have the involvement of active service members of the UK armed forces.

White Vanguard wanted to have former and current armed forces personnel among its ranks, they believed this could help them train in military tactics and encourage group discipline. These kinds of individuals could have the skills to create a militia – or at least those were the hopes of White Vanguard.

It should made clear these are not the conversations of a group working within the norms of activsm. This is a group seeking a race war and was preparing for it. Kids were not spared from this hatred, some members were willing to target adults but others had no concerns if children suffered.

This isn’t your typical far right group but a continuation of Nazi accelerationist ideology that has already led to multiple deaths and terror attacks.

Tomorrow our next thread will look into the relationships Youth Alliance and White Vanguard had with other far right groups within the UK.

  • White Vanguard Part 3

(Start with White Vanguard Part 1)

The group always showed an inclination towards violent action even during the Youth Alliance days. Though this developed from “bashing the reds” rhetoric into a more organised threat.

General consensus was that a war was inevitable and White Vanguard would need to train for this.

The group began to imitate other group tactics and tried to appear professional in eyes of other nationalist movements. A part of this was to copy National Action and try to learn lessons from their proscription.

The group did appear to have connections to National Action during its early stages. One of the members claimed to be in contact with former NA activists in Scotland who unlike their English friends didn’t face jail.

White Vanguard appear to have the options to speak to Nazis with experience of proscription and state intervention.

The first major attempt to show this professional nazi image was the Britain First protest in Birmingham last year. Activists were encouraged to wear all black, dress smartly, sunglasses and caps though masks were discouraged.

Unfortunately for them, we were monitoring their meet point and on several occasions our friends got photos of them in before they added hats and sunglasses. This allowed us to identify many of their members early on.

The suggested “uniform” wasn’t followed by even some of the most devout activists and as there were no group flags available.

One of the activists brought along a Youth Alliance flag too also indicating a lack of readily available materials – especially as that was the precursor group rather than White Vanguard itself.

The group did though manage to carve out space within the BF protest. Speeches were made and a small crowd cheered while streamers filmed. Far-right YouTuber Wesley Winter interviewed them at the protest which gave them further prominence though in chats afterwards Wesley’s ethnicity was spoken about in great detail.

Tomorrow our next thread will look into some of their later actions, the collection of weapons and some of their opinions on children.

    White Vanguard Part 4

  • White Vanguard Part 2

(Start with White Vanguard Part 1)

The new chat was created in March 2025 with a small core of activists. Despite a years long friendship, Max Cleeve would not be allowed in the new chat and would be stuck in Football Lads Protecting Britain.

This wasn’t the first Max had caused trouble amongst his friends while 16, he ended up with his house raided and devices seized. While drunk or high on cocaine, Max would often message chats saying he would go out to demos to attack “lefties”.

The chat was so not shy about promoting their less than legal activities. Despite criticism towards former members, they would often post their own criminal acts and boast about their records.

The chat wasn’t without its rather disturbing conversations that often surpassed the usual antisemitic and islamophobic tripe. One such conversation was discussions about masturbation including how some of the members would masturbate.

Members would also obsess over one the of the younger women inside the National Rebirth Party. Despite the strong talk from White Vanguard about “degeneracy” and returning to traditional family values, this obsessive behaviour often reached the stages of online stalking.

Plans moved forward to begin some of their first group activities, the Canvey action was swiftly removed when common sense prevailed and the group felt it was appropriate to avoid inciting racial hatred charges at such an early state.

Though we never got the chance to release the identity of Kai Cunningham, it is worth highlighting how far he would’ve got within Reform UK unless he was exposed. He would boast about his importantance within the party and said it could be a source for more recruits for White Vanguard.

Attempts were made to control the chaos and to bring order to the chat though much of this was later to fail. I guess they screwed up and incriminated themselves.

Tomorrow we will discuss Birmingham and some of their more violent tendencies and behaviours.

    White Vanguard Part 3

  • White Vanguard Part 1

Before we can go into the formation of White Vanguard, it’s important to discuss their precursor group, Youth Alliance. Formed in 2024, it began as a small group of friends; starting with Max Cleeve, Archi Redding, Kai Cunningham, and Harrison Leworthy.

The group made its announcement by burning a Quran and Torah. This was picked up on and supported by Tommy Robinson and his fanbase. Tommy though knew and chose to overlook the Torah burning and chose to promote the group as a new “movement” to combat Islam and the wave of pro Palestine protests.

Rather than challenging the initial signs of antisemitism, TR and team hoped to groom this group and use its energy to swell their ranks and reinvigorate their base which had primarily come from older activists.

Youth Alliance was supported by activists from the South East Division, Turning Point UK and the DFLA to expand and were given organising advice. They were invited into various chats and involved in actions to give them additional skills. Without this support they would’ve faded into irrelevancy.

One of their key actions that helped them grow was joining the South East Division to attack to 2024 Marxism Festival. Harrison was a primary factor in this fight and was responsible for trashing one of the stalls and physically beating a SUTR activist.

This relationship though was short lived as Youth Alliance increasingly clashed with far right Zionists within their shared spaces. Concerns increased as the group claimed to have active service members involved and members had claimed to be trying to join Vanguard Britannica.

The group was ousted from civic nationalist spaces though some in South East Division kept links, as we saw with Sam Westlake buddying up to Max Cleeve last year. The group had grown enough by that point to carve out its own space.

Youth Alliance began imitating Patriotic Alternative and Active Clubs by holding outreach sessions, spreading propaganda and engaging in physical training. This included attempts to train with knives.

As has now happened with White Vanguard, egos clashed and infighting began. A hardcore of activists believed the group was lazy and criticized some of the members for drug use and targeted some of the groups non-white members.

After many name changes, arrests and their media editor leaving for Reform UK, the group split into White Vanguard and another group called Football Lads Protecting Britain.

Tomorrow we will discuss the behaviour of White Vanguard members and how this group acted behind closed doors.
